Hello! My name is Michael Sharpe and I'm a solo artist from Cabot Arkansas right outside of Little Rock.

You're probably wondering why the "Living For Lisa" website - well, that is the name of my band that covers my solo stuff, but since that has been put on indefinite hold I'm using the website to promote my solo songs instead of buying another dot.com!! I'm nothing if not frugal!

A little about myself - I've been playing guitar since I was 14 and started playing pro (for money) at the age of 16 doing small clubs in Knoxville Tennessee.
Joined another band called "Junction" at the age of 19 where I played the Solver Dollar City circuit in Branson and Pigeon Forge Tennessee.

At the age of 21 I hitch-hiked to Littlerock and started playing more harder music until I just gave it all up, sold all my stuff and went back to school.

After graduating suma cum intoxicated and got a "real job" I missed playing so I bought a Strat and a 4x12 cab. After several months of trying to get my chops back I decided I wanted to do some songs but didn't have any way to accomplish that other than buying time at a local recording studio. Wasn't gonna do that so in true Michael Sharpe fashion I built Blackwater Recording Studios for the sole purpose of recording myself. Hella money pit but I do have some of the best equipment around!!

All of these recordings are done at Blackwater Studios. I'm actually re-working my cd release so stay tuned for more news of that nature as new and better songs are added.

Influences:
Pink Floyd was a huge influence with me - as was Disturbed, Nirvana, Alan Parsons, Yes and a few others. My music tends to reflect those influences, sometimes to fine line.
